A ROSARY A DAY KEEPS THE SERPENT AWAY!

Monte Casino Bird Sanctuary, 24 April 2021 Two months ago, walking on the edge of a tennis court, I found a series of spider webs. I spent some time trying to get some good shots for my blog post on sanctifying my work like a spider . It was late afternoon, around 5 pm, when I heard in the adjacent hedge the sound of running water. I stopped and thought that were no nearby water pipes, so where could the sound be coming from?  The sound became more distinct and appeared to be approaching closer and moving swiftly through the dead leaves. My eye caught something moving that was thicker than a garden hose and about a meter and a half in length. My initial thought was a snake, and I took one step closer to examine and take a shot (suspense…). As I did that, the head of a highly venomous snouted cobra revealed itself.
